In recent years, I beleive we have all heard some type of news of the brazen actions of the chinese government and military asserting their dominance outwardly to the rest of the world.
They have truly become a rising power in the world militarily and financially, and have even negotiated treaties or economic agreements with many foreign nations. China has even turned the Philippines, under Rodrigo Duterte’s regime, away from the United States of Americas corner through peace treaties and money.
With China always flexing its muscle, a major threat looms in the shadows for the sovereign nation-state of Taiwan. Taiwan itself is only recognized by 15 small and poor countries as a nation-state. But because Taiwan is the democratically elected nation that it is, it has many commercial and political ties to many nation states. Taiwan itself continues to exist because of the implicit protection the United States has provided the nation since the times of the Chinese Revolution.
Now however, dire warning have been issued by the United States telling Taiwan to be prepared for mainland invasion the Chinese Republic’s People Liberation Army. In fact an arms deal to supply the island nation of Taiwan was passed through one of houses of Congress, just not ratified, causing Beijing and its associates to try to stall the deal.
